![]() Ipswich Country Club Fundraiser: A Huge Success The Ipswich Country Club Ladies’ Night Out Fundraiser for Star House, held on October 17, 2007, was a huge success thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Club Committee. The event - a combination fashion show, dinner, and silent auction - raised an amazing $40,000 for Star House. Special Thanks go to Francine Fluke, the Club Committee Chair, and Maxine Sope, the auction chair, for her organizational skills and also to Michelle McGuiness for introducing Star House to the committee and Star House development member Margie Thompson. Special thanks also to Long Jewelers for its support of the event, including a donation of sales at its stores. The night included terrific auction items, including an autographed Tom Brady football and Green Monster seats at Fenway Park, delicious food, beautiful clothes and models, and lots of laughs. Star House is very grateful to all the volunteers who worked long and hard to help the children, and for the generosity of the women who came to the event. Star House will also be the beneficiary of a challenge grant from the John Alden Trust. Read about Star House featured in Guideposts: Angels On Earth: True Stories of Everyday Miracles |
